Proud to announce my new venture; EQV Talent (link)!
My family. After almost 13 years in the recruiting business, 2025 was personally full of ups and downs (more downs than ups), but we all came out of it (very positively!) into 2026 with a ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ on how I can best serve my family, friends, and people that are important to me. This includes being a more present partner for my network and businesses that need to grow their talent base. My favorite thing about recruiting has always been I want to use all that Iโve learned (both book smarts and emotional intelligence) ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฏ๐ฒ.

The name of the business, EQV Talent gives a good window into the why, EQV stands for The state motto of North Carolina, esse quam videri means โ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ, ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐บ,โ a phrase that has always resonated with me after first hearing it at my Davidson College commencement ceremony in 2010. Think of it as the Latin translation for
I will be partnering with manufacturers across the east coast to find talent in 3 main verticals: That said, Iโve partnered with businesses across the US to find just about every type of position across an organizationโฆIโll be able to ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ. Generally the focus will be on senior level roles, including with
๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐บ๐ฒ/๐๐ค๐ฉ: Letโs reframe this to ask, โCurley, why are you good at recruiting but so introverted?โ I think one of the biggest benefits my version of introversion is the ability to listen. I may not be the person holding court at a networking event, but I know ๐ต๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ to people, ๐ต๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ, and ๐ต๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐น๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป to what people really mean when they are telling me their needs and/or goals. Iโll throw in some buzzwords that I do really believe in: honesty, positive energy, commitment, and transparency.
